Rihanna is being sued by a former bodyguard, Geoffery Keating, over alleged comments made by the singer to his partner and sister, a lawsuit filed in Ireland yesterday claims.
Keating worked as head of security for the Stay singer between October 2012 and July 2013 during her Diamonds world tour.
He claims “nauseatingly offensive” and false statements were made about him by the star in the lawsuit, which have injured his reputation and sister, TMZ reports.
The initial lawsuit was filed in Ireland yesterday, with his lawyer granted a motion to serve Rihanna the suit in the US. Keating’s lawyer Gerald Kean told TMZ: “We’re taking this battle very seriously. We are satisfied that the Irish Courts will see justice at the end of the day.”
Rihanna out in New York
In the suit it claims Rihanna made offensive comments about the bodyguard in an email which was sent to both himself and his girlfriend last July. Keating also claims further statements against him were made in a phone call from the singer to his sister. RiRi didn’t look too worried about the lawsuit when she stepped out in New York yesterday.
The star dined at Da Silvano restaurant in the Big Apple looking spring fresh in a bright turquoise crop top and matching mini skirt.
