The people of Chibok community in Borno State are living in great fear as members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect have promised to pay them another visit soon.
The dreaded Boko Haram Islamist insurgents have vowed to storm the Chibok community again after they abducted over 200 school girls of the Government Secondary School in the town located in Borno State, about two months ago.
The information was made known by an official of the Chibok Local Government Area who said that they got a letter from the sect promising to visit the place again and in their usual way, kill and maim.
The official said though the letter has been handed over to security operatives who have assured them of maximum protection, they are still scared as the insurgents seem to have more fire power than the combined security operatives.
This is what the official who does not want his name in print said:
Everyone in the LGA believes that the sect cannot be pocketed by security men. The letter has further worsened their fear.
Whenever Boko Haram tells you that they are coming, they will never fail to do so. Our fear now is that, we don’t know when and how they are going to come but our people are in great fear.
We are calling for prayers as well as on government to provide adequate security in Chibok.
