Four suspected members of Boko Haram were arrested in Kano yesterday in connection with the recent multiple female suicide bombings that rocked the state capital in two days.
It was gathered that the arrest followed an operation conducted by officers of the Nigerian Army and the Directorate of State Security (DSS) in the early hours of the day.
Credible security sources in both establishments told Daily Sun that the insurgents were picked up in the course of different operations in Hotoro General Area and in Mariri General Area of Kumbotso Local Government Council of the state. It was gathered that among those arrested was a 70-year-old man, whose name was simply given as Ibrahim. The sources stated that the remaining Boko Haram members arrested in the course of the operations were Bello, Nura and Zakari.
