Incoming Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has reportedly told the club to sell midfielder Marouane Fellaini after just one season at Old Trafford.
The Belgian midfielder, who scored a vital goal as Belgium beat Algeria in their opening game of the 2014 World Cup, was brought to United last summer by former Everton manager David Moyes but failed to live up to his £27million price tag.
Fellaini’s performance underlined Moyes’ tenure as manager and according to the Daily Mail he will now face the exit door under new boss van Gaal.
Van Gaal is currently in Brazil as he looks to guide Holland to their first ever World Cup triumph in what would be his final act as national team coach.
The article suggests van Gaal has already drawn up a clear list of who he would like to sell and who he would like to sign, with several Dutch internationals expected to make their way to the club before next season.
