Arsene Wenger has been informed that he must part with £8m to sign defensive target Kostas Manolas.

Arsenal Must Pay £8m To Land Defender The Gunners are desperate to bolster their defensive ranks after allowing club captain Thomas Vermaelen to join Barcelona last week for £15m.
 The centre-back impressed many with his performances at the World Cup, and according to the Express, Wenger is preparing to make a move to bring the 23-year-old Olympiakos star to the Emirates.
 The Greek club have stated that the defender will not be allowed to leave for anything less than £8m, and Arsenal are set to face competition for the youngster’s signature.
 Premier League rivals Tottenham, Everton and Sunderland have all shown an interest in Manolas, whilst Juventus are also said to be lining up a move.
 Manolas has spoken to his club about his future, and would certainly be open to the idea of a move to north London.
 Wenger has already brought in Alexis Sanchez, Calum Chambers, David Ospina and Mathieu Debuchy this summer, and is keen to strengthen his squad even further in order to challenge for the Premier League title this season
