8.40pm RTÉ Two
This shimmeringly giddy series – featuring a woman who looks very like Kim Kardashian (see picture) – centres on a group of maids, Marisol (Ortiz), Rosie (Ramírez), Carmen (Sánchez), Valentina (Ganem) and Zoila (Reyes). The girls are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles ‘and the melodramatic universe that engulfs their employers.’ In this eighth episode, Genevieve lies to her new boyfriend about her age, much to Zoila’s dismay. Rosie begins working at the Powells. Carmen learns Odessa is hiding something. Marisol goes with Taylor to a fertility clinic.
Louis Theroux – LA Stories: Edge of Life
10.40pm RTE Two
The intrepid Louis (pictured) visits the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in West Hollywood, where he meets patients battling serious illness. Louis talks to patients and their families as they face whether to accept death and die in relative comfort, or to gamble on further, possibly painful treatment. He talks to the doctors whose job it is to guide people through this traumatic process.
Long Lost Family: What Happened Next
This week, the series revisits the stories of three women who had spent years searching for a loved one – twin sisters who were separated at birth, a mother who had not seen her son since he was six weeks old and a woman who was searching for her mother but was reunited with a sister. Twins Jennifer and Kathleen were separated at birth and spent over 60 years apart before Long Lost Family uncovered that they were living just three miles from each other in Rotherham. The twins were reunited by Long Lost Family four years ago.
