|So much to say: Larry King spent much of late October 19 and early October 20 talking about random subjects on Twitter, pictured here earlier this month at an event in Beverly Hills|
Larry King has spoken to audiences via television and radio for decades, but he still has plenty to say – and now he has Twitter to say those things in the middle of the night.
Late on the night of October 19 and early in the morning of October 20, the
journalist and host decided to tweet what may have been every random thought that passed through his mind.
The whole thing began with a comment on the Dane Cook special airing on Showtime, proving that King was a fan of the comedian.
Other topics that grabbed King’s attention over the course of the next few hours included Donald Duck (better than Mickey Mouse), straight teeth (hated), hayrides and zoos (King avoids both), Oreo cookies (good with milk), Vice President Joe Biden (a lunch date), King’s birthday (November 19) and more.
While a few tweets posed hard-to-answer questions – ‘Why is a frankfurter called a hot dog?’ – most of the entries simply stated King’s opinions on a variety of topics – ‘Sue me, I liked Jimmy Hoffa.’
According to a tweet thrown into the middle of the Twitter rant, King engaged in his tweetathon as an homage to an old USA Today column in which he wrote random thoughts.
The Twitter rampage ended with a rather famous quote from a cartoon pig: That’s all folks!
