AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has continued to train in order to make himself match fit.
The Netherlands international returned to training earlier this week and is now picking up momentum on that front.
The 24-year-old, who
has been linked with a £50 million move to Manchester United, has not played a competitive fixture since March 2014 when he sustained a serious knee injury.
Strootman, who joined Roma from Dutch giants PSV last summer, was a regular member of the (then) Louis van Gaal-coached Netherlands international team until his injury and missed the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in the summer.
The highly-rated midfielder is hopeful of making a comeback soon but has refused to put a definitive time on his return.
