|Nicki Minaj Covers V Magazine, Discusses Pushing the Envelope|
For the second time, Nicki Minaj has graced the cover of V Magazine, which sees the rapper showing off her curves in skin-tight designer outfits.
With her third album The Pinkprint arriving December 15, Nicki speaks candidly about challenging herself artistically. “I always push the envelope, because I’m Nicki Minaj. I have to,” she tells the mag. “No matter who I’m on a song with, I feel like I have to say at least one thing that no one else is willing to say. Whether it’s Madonna, Britney [Spears] or Beyoncé, they always tell me, ‘Yes. Be yourself. Talk your sh**.’”
In one of the black-and-white images, Nicki rocks a Versace dress and in the interview she reveals an affinity for the pricey label. “What I love about Versace is that it’s so rich,” Nicki said: “I always feel it’s important for me to show females that they can be in charge of their own situation. I came into the game creating my own brand. I was doing things very early on that set me apart from people who just took orders and allowed their brand to be created for them. I love women who take control, who set standards, and who believe in themselves enough to lead the way in terms of their career. I’ve done that. When I win and when I lose.”
Fans can expect the the winter 14/15 issue of V Magazine to hit newsstands November 13.
