Liverpool may have to once again convince Raheem Sterling to remain at Anfield after it is believed that Real Madrid are preparing a £35million bid to lure him to the La Liga with intentions of doubling his weekly wages, Daily Star reports.
The 20-year-old attacker is yet to sign a new contract extension after he previously rejected a proposal of a £70,000-a-week salary, prompting the
Spanish giants to consider a second attempt to bring him to the Bernabeu.
However, it is unlikely that Madrid will make a move during the January window but is believed to be preparing to make a formal offer in the summer.
Sterling is now being strongly tipped to leave the Reds because they look likely to miss out on the Champions League next season as they have been struggling to pick up results throughout the season.
Brendan Rodgers will surely be doing all he can to keep him in the Premier League, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side will surely be in the drivers seat as the incoming offer will be very hard for the England international to refuse.
