Arsenal are finally close to completing the signing of a much-needed player with the new season set to kick off this weekend.
Arsene Wenger has been forced to make a move for a new centre-back after losing the likes of Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista to injury.
With only Rob Holding and Calum Chambers available for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool as Laurent Koscielny improves his match fitness, the club has been working on a deal for a defensive signing.
According to the Daily Mail, the Shkodran Mustafi saga is finally about to be brought to an end within the next few days. Their report is claiming that Mustafi has agreed to sign a five-year deal worth around £75-000-00 per week as he awaits permission to undergo a medical at London Colney.
The player’s agent Ali Bulut revealed on Thursday morning that the 24-year-old was Arsenal-bound even though Valencia are yet to officially confirm an agreement with the Gunners.
“Shkodran and Arsenal have reached an agreement, the clubs now only have to agree on the fee” he said.
